What You Will Do
The Day Treatment Program Coordinator oversees day treatment services for each child from referral through post-discharge, coordinating with families, schools, counties, community partners, and clinical and academic staff while monitoring financial support for placements. The role maintains strong community relationships and collaborates closely with the Clinical Supervisor on client admissions, discharges, and ongoing communication with School District Administrators. Additionally, the Coordinator provides supervision, training, and support to Day Treatment Program Support staff, the Day Treatment Cleaner, volunteers, and undergraduate interns.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates all intake services for all Day Treatment students processing referrals and determining appropriateness of referrals.
- Coordinates ongoing day treatment services for current students such as facilitating all meetings for 30-day treatment students, 30-day reviews, quarterly reviews, reintegration, planning and discharge.
- Supervises the above listed ongoing staff and programmatic functioning of the Day Treatment Program.
- Coordinates Transition Services for students who transition to homes, schools, or other designated settings.
- Facilitates the discharge process for day treatment students who completed Day Treatment Programming. Communicate with IEP team about upcoming discharges.
- Secures financial support for student placement in the Day Treatment programming from third parties, schools, counties and/or self-pay.
- Provides written and verbal communication and documentation regarding coordination of client-related services.
- Participates in internal and external training opportunities to ensure personal and professional growth.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Psychology, Social Work, or related field)
Job Related Experience: Preferred four (4) years delivering Mental Health services to children and adolescents, and two (2) years involving case management and community networking
