- Database Maintenance & Operations: Installing, upgrading, and configuring database software (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
- Security & Data Protection: Implementing security measures, managing user access/permissions, and ensuring data integrity
- Backup & Recovery: Developing strategies to back up data and restore systems in emergencies.
- Performance Tuning: Monitoring system performance, optimizing queries, and ensuring high availability.
- Data Modeling & Design: Assisting in the design and structure of databases to meet user requirements.
- Documentation: Creating comprehensive documentation, including data standards, procedures, and configuration setups.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in database administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) like Oracle, MySQL, or MS SQL Server.
- Cloud Proficiency: Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) is increasingly required.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize performance.
