Functions are routine engineering, design and construction tasks within their department and on assigned projects. In addition to gaining knowledge from daily tasks and projects, candidate will also be given opportunities throughout the summer to develop their soft skills and take on leadership roles.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete department tasks under the direction of an assigned supervisor
- Perform discipline specific activities, calculations, as assigned
- Assist technical service personnel in proper execution of deliverables
- Support discipline specific tasks for proposal work
- Work on other miscellaneous projects, as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Must be enrolled in an accredited Engineering or Engineering technology Program
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Hold a minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred). Candidate must provide GPA of most recent 60 hours completed
Interest in leadership & personal development opportunities
Willingness to relocate for both internship and future full-time opportunities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with engineering tools and software (i.e. Microsoft 365, AutoCAD, Matlab, ETAP, STAAD) (dependent on discipline)
Excellent soft skills (initiative, time management, team collaboration)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee will work in an office environment.
