Inside Sales Representative
Location Preference: Candidates based in Birmingham or Montgomery, Alabama are strongly preferred.
About the Role
We are seeking a driven and disciplined Inside Sales Representative to support our outside sales team by conducting high-volume outbound telemarketing calls to builders, contractors, and construction professionals. This role is focused on proactive outreach, consistent follow-up, and lead nurturing to generate qualified business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct approximately 150+ outbound calls per day to builders, contractors, and related businesses to generate new leads.
- Perform consistent follow-up calls and emails to nurture prospects through the lead pipeline.
- Qualify potential customers and set appointments or hand off leads to the field sales team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of calls, conversations, and activities in the CRM.
- Develop strong product and service knowledge to communicate value effectively over the phone.
- Build positive relationships with prospective clients through persistent and professional outreach.
- Collaborate closely with the outside sales team to ensure a seamless transition from inside lead generation to field engagement.
- Achieve or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly outreach and lead-generation targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of inside sales, outbound telemarketing, or call-center experience preferred.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls each day (cold calls and warm leads).
- Excellent phone communication and persuasion skills.
- Strong follow-up habits, organization, and time management.
- Experience using CRM software is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn construction-related products, services, and terminology.
