As part of the firm’s recent expansion into North Carolina, the Kaufman & Canoles Raleigh office is seeking qualified attorneys. While open to candidates across practice areas, the firm is specifically looking to build out existing services in the areas of healthcare, labor/employment, ESOPs & employee benefits, defense contracting, public finance, bankruptcy, and commercial real estate. The successful candidate will have 6 or more years of relevant experience, demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Required Skills:

  1. Six or more years relevant job experience in the legal field is preferred.
  2. Skilled at meeting deadlines under significant time pressure
  3. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client orientation
  4. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
  5. Ability to manage time and resources effectively and independently

 

Education:

  1. Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association with an outstanding academic record
  2. Admission to the North Carolina Bar in good standing or the ability to waive in
  3. During employment, must meet requirement for continuing licensure for law practice; some opportunities for obtaining in-house CLE through Kaufman & Canoles will be available
