Job Description

Primary Duties:

Safety, Compliance & Leadership

  • Create and maintain a safe, healthy work environment aligned with company and regulatory safety standards.
  • Ensure proper PPE usage and compliance with all safety procedures.
  • Protect facility assets through safe operation of equipment and adherence to all safety requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Assess employee training needs, support skills development, and communicate procedures and work practices.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to support employee growth and performance.
  • Provide occasional after‑hours support for time‑sensitive issues, including inventory concerns or urgent shipments.

Materials & Logistics Operations

  • Oversee accurate movement of all raw materials, WIP, and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, and production control teams to ensure schedule compliance and uninterrupted manufacturing flow.
  • Notify Group Leader of any actual or potential part shortages and support shortage resolution.
  • Manage and maintain professional communication with internal stakeholders and external partners, including OE, OES, and AGR customers.
  • Prepare shipping paperwork, coordinate logistics, and schedule trucks in a cost‑effective manner.
  • Communicate delivery orders and customer requests, including expedited or special shipments.
  • Utilize SAP and other systems to process shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, and troubleshoot system issues.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Reconcile system inventories with physical counts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Lead and participate in daily, periodic, and annual physical inventory activities.
  • Ensure effective systems and processes are followed to support high inventory accuracy and timely transaction processing.

Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Review and report on delivery performance, including on‑time delivery metrics for all customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure accuracy and adequate supply of glass and other materials.
  • Maintain open communication channels to ensure shipments are arranged efficiently and meet customer expectations.
  • Identify improvement opportunities within material flow, productivity, and system usage; implement corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless shipping, receiving, and production support.
  • Adhere to NSG Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles in all business relationships.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist leadership with miscellaneous projects, physical inventory, and materials‑related initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications Required:

  • Associate degree in Business or related field OR at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated supervisory abilities and experience managing teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
  • Previous experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with SAP preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial processes, preferably in an automotive environment.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement concepts.
