Job Description

Summary Description:  Responsible for the safe and orderly movement of bulk materials within the plant and providing documentation as required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

·       Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock location.

·       Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies

·       Maintains in-process bulk inventory at work centers with designated footprint.

·       Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.

·       Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.

·       Transport rework to and from designated rework location (containment)

·       Empty scrap bins daily (every shift) for designated responsible area/zones

·       Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.

·       Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; noting when equipment repairs are needed.

·       Report any safety hazards promptly to immediate supervisor/team leader

·       Follow all PPE mandates by the plant

·       Visual inspect containers for damage during course of operation.

·       Remove any damaged containers  from service to designated “damaged” location…..i.e. outside

·       Report any instances where PIV has contacted restraints and/or other equipment to immediate supervisor/team leader

·       Ensure material put away follows FIFO

·       Maintain WIP/FG lanes free of dirt and debris

·       Report any process conflicts such as mislabels, incorrect quantity, or mixed parts to appropriate supervisor/team leader.

•    Must be able to work well in a team
•    Ability to read. write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
•    Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
•    Understanding of Production processes and basic inventory control
•    Maintain a current PIV certification

·       1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
