The Shawano School District is seeking to hire an innovative, child-centered, and motivated 3rd Grade Teacher to join the team at Olga Brener Intermediate School for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful applicant must be able to work effectively in a collaborative team that is passionate about student success and have the ability to establish strong relationships with students and families. Experience working with diverse student populations, the PLC model of collaboration, and Conscious Discipline strategies is preferred. Additional experience with technology integration is a plus.

The Role Responsibilities
As a 3rd grade teacher you will design and deliver engaging lessons that are aligned with the Shawano School District curriculum standards. Creating standard-aligned instructional materials and the use a variety of instructional strategies will help students master content areas. Adjusting instruction in response to evidence of each students learning ability will encourage the students to reach their learning goals. Fostering a positive and inclusive environment in your classroom will allow your students the ability to develop strong social skills, take ownership of their learning, and achieve meaningful growth. This will helpt develop essential skills, critical thinking, and problem solving needed to prepare students to become lifelong learners capable of navigating new challenges. Developing professional relationships and partnerships with other teachers, counselors, principals, and other staff as well as families gives the students the best outcome for their academic success.
Role Requirements
As an ideal candidate, you will have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field, along with a valid state teaching license for the appropriate elementary education instruction. Having a strong understanding of curriculum standards and effective instructional delivery strategies will be essential in your role. You will need to demonstrate classroom management skills along with the ability to design lesson plans that effectively teach and support a diverse array of learners. Active participation in our Professional Learning Communities will be key component of your role, as you collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional approaches, share best practices, and contribute to ongoing student academic success.
