OPS Simulation Technician

Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of OPS Simulation Technician in our Ghazvini Healthcare Center. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.

What You’ll Do
As an OPS Simulation Technician, you’ll play a key role in implementing simulation training designed to enhance student learning and promote safety and quality in healthcare.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with setting up and cleaning up of simulation environment prior and after the simulation sessions. 

  • Assisting in programming simulators and running simulation equipment during simulations including computer hardware, props, EHR, human patient simulators and audio-visual systems.

  • Assisting in the development of technical proficiency with all aspects of operation, maintenance support, trouble shooting and repair for all equipment.

  • Assisting in the coordination of the transport of simulation equipment, as necessary.  Conducting inventory of supplies.

  • Assisting with data entry for various record keeping. Create moulage and any other needed materials for the simulation sessions as outlined in the scenarios’ checklists.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

  • One (1) year of experience with the use of high-fidelity human patient simulators, multimedia equipment, and experience with a variety of medical equipment.

  • Computer proficiency in PC and Mac-based software applications is also a plus.

HOURS:   25 hours per week, Monday – Friday with the occasional evening and/or weekend required.
