BEEP PHYSICAL THERAPIST, ESY
POSITION OVERVIEW
Provide consultation and direct PT services to BEEP, K-8, High School and/or Post-Secondary/Transition students who require an Extended School Year (ESY), per their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide direct services to students as indicated on caseload IEP
- Support students with a range of PT services, motor delays and/or underlying impairments that limit/prevent a student from accessing the educational curriculum
- Coordination of related service and service only student support
- Consult with ESY teachers
- Provide direct or consultative services; modify or adapt school environments, tools, or materials as needed in order to support a student in accessing the educational curriculum and environment as independently as possible
- Adapt as needed to changes in student and/or team response, available treatment locations, and educational activities
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment
QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:
- Massachusetts DESE Physical Therapist certification required
SCHEDULE:
- July 8, 2024 - August 15, 2024
- 9:00 - 2:00, Monday - Thursday - Hours, sites, ages and schedule are dependent on caseload
- Additional 1-2 days of training prior to start of program
- Additional 30 minutes per day for planning
