Suncoast Hospice Foundation, a part of Empath Health is currently seeking a compassionate Donor Services Assistant to join our Suncoast Hospice Foundation team in Palm Harbor, FL. In this role, the Donor Services Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Foundation’s fundraising and stewardship efforts. This position is responsible for accurate daily gift entry, donor acknowledgements, CRM data maintenance, donor research, and providing exceptional customer service to donors, staff, and community partners.
What You'll Do
Gift Processing & Donor Acknowledgement
- Accurately enter and process all daily gifts, online donations, and event registrations.
- Generate and send donor acknowledgement letters within 48 hours.
- Follow PCI guidelines for credit card processing.
Customer Service & Communication
- Provide professional, timely, and courteous support to donors, volunteers, and internal staff.
- Make outbound calls as needed for donor follow‑up, event support, or data clarification.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for donor inquiries via phone and email.
CRM & Data Management (Virtuous CRM)
- Create and update donor and contact records with accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain data integrity by performing regular system checks, merging duplicates, and updating addresses, salutations, and relationship links.
- Assist with data cleanup projects and ongoing database maintenance.

What You'll Need
- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1–3 years of experience in data entry or administrative support.
- Experience with CRM or donor databases preferred Virtuous CRM experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel (mail merges, formulas).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines.
- Customer-focused and professional manners in dealing with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively and independently as a member of the Foundation team.
