How you'll contribute
A CNA who excels in this role:
- Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN or LPN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements and recording intake and output.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
- Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care; works flexible shifts or units as needed
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
- High School diploma preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Arizona required
- BLS certification required
- Handle with Care certification preferred
- Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hard/arm movements.
- Comfortable with regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
