Duties

Serve as the supervisor of Medical Records Technicians within the Patient Administration Division (PAD).,Develop and implement policies, procedures, and schedules to achieve objectives, interprets regulations and directives recommending changes in policies.,Review medical records for completeness and consistency.,Develop and monitor work plans, daily workload, assignments, and priorities.,Direct and Conduct on the job training and informal training.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Medical Records Technician: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes screening medical records for accuracy, assigning or reviewing work of others, and providing guidance or training on the handling of medical records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
