Payroll & Benefits Manager – Anderson Auto Group

Summary / Objective

Are you a detail-obsessed leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing environment? At Anderson Auto Group, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Payroll & Benefits Manager to take the wheel of our payroll and benefits operations across our dealerships.

In this highly impactful role, you’ll ensure our employees are paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance—while also delivering benefits programs that help us attract, retain, and support top talent. You’ll partner closely with our Director of Human Resources and dealership leadership, making this a key position that directly fuels the success of our people and our business.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of payroll management experience required
  • 3–5 years of benefits administration experience required
  • Deep knowledge of payroll processes including balancing, internal controls, and payroll tax compliance
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits and compensation structures
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll systems
  • Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an automotive dealership environment
  • Familiarity with dealership pay plans, including commission-based compensation structures
  • Experience working with dealership management systems (DMS) and high-volume payroll environments
