Job Description

Description

The Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician is responsible for repairing minor dents, dings, and hail damage on vehicle panels without the use of traditional body fillers or repainting. The technician will use specialized tools and techniques to restore the vehicle’s original finish while maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Inspect vehicles to assess dent damage and determine repair feasibility using PDR methods
  • Perform paintless dent repair on vehicle panels including doors, hoods, roofs, and fenders
  • Use specialized PDR tools, rods, glue pullers, and lighting systems to remove dents
  • Maintain the integrity of the vehicle’s original paint finish
  • Document repairs and communicate findings with management or estimators
  • Ensure work meets company quality standards and customer expectations
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
  • Follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines
  • Assist with shop organization and cleanliness
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Paintless Dent Repair Technician or similar role
  • Knowledge of PDR tools and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and precision workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs efficiently
  • Good problem-solving skills and manual dexterity
  • Valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous PDR experience
  • Experience working in an auto body shop or dealership environment
  • Certification or formal training in PDR techniques

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity to operate specialized tools
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

  • Valid Texas Driver's License
