Description
Responsible for overseeing afternoon operations within the PCE program and coordinating evening childcare services for PCE and Concordia. This role manages student staffing for evening events, tracks and reports program data related to children, families, and student staff, and ensures accurate documentation of student hours, off-site activities, and program contributions. The position also supports school enrollment processes, maintains behavior and consequence records, and facilitates transportation to and from school. Through daily supervision of children, student staff, and interns, the role fosters a safe, structured, and supportive environment while building positive relationships with youth and families. Under the direction of the PCE Preschool Manager, this role is responsible for general oversight of all PCE (preschool) operations in the afternoon/evening and weekends.
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Tuesday-Saturday, 12:00 PM - 9PM.
Requirements
Education: Certificate from college or technical school and/or training, education, experience equivalent.
Experience: 2-3 yrs of job related work experience.
Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.
Math Skills: Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Reasoning: High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Skills/Qualifications: Building relationships with the Students and Children is the foundation in this position. Oversee afternoon operations for the PCE program. Coordinate and supervise all evening PCE and Concordia childcare events. Manage and schedule student staff for evening programming. Supervise children, student staff, and interns during evening care. Ability to effectively manage and resolve conflicts among students and children while promoting respectful communication and positive behavior.

Summary

- Drives to/from school.
- Supervises all children, student staff, and supports interns for evening care.
- Regularly circulate throughout the PCE center to ensure active supervision, safety, and engagement of children and students.
- Ensure the PCE center is properly closed each evening by following established PCE closing procedures and preparing the center for operations the following day.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Canva, track program data, and develop program communications and materials.
