Woodland Heights Senior Living, in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a compassionate and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join their team. This is a working position, meaning the individual will not only manage staff scheduling but also provide direct resident care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) when needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and passionate about supporting both residents and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Administrative Duties:
- Create, maintain, and adjust staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts
- Manage call-offs, shift changes, and last-minute staffing needs
- Coordinate with department leaders to align staffing with resident care needs and census changes
- Monitor overtime and staffing budgets, making adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and communicate updates clearly to staff
- Assist with onboarding schedules for new hires
Direct Care Responsibilities (CNA):
- Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents in accordance with care plans
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support residents with dementia and memory care needs using patience and empathy
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
Qualifications:
- Active CNA certification in Arkansas
- Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or memory care preferred
- Prior scheduling or staffing coordination experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents as required
- Must be able to perform CNA duties safely and effectively
