Description

**CLINICAL SUPERVISION FOR LICENSURE PROVIDED**

Valley Community Services Board (VCSB) is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Outpatient Services team. 

Benefits

Essential Functions

  • Conduct same-day access (SDA) assessments, screenings, and comprehensive clinical evaluations.
  • Determine appropriate level of care using clinical tools (e.g., ASAM criteria, screenings, and assessments).
  • Provide brief therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, and safety planning during assessments.
  • Facilitate timely linkage to internal programs and external providers based on client needs.
  • Develop initial treatment plans or service recommendations in compliance with Medicaid and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians, case managers, and support staff.
  • Complete referrals for higher levels of care and communicate recommendations clearly to providers.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (within required timeframes).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (DBHDS, DMAS/Medicaid, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2).
  • Participate in supervision, trainings, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
  • Eligible for or holding a Virginia clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Experience with crisis intervention and risk assessment
  • Strong understanding of person-centered, trauma-informed care principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active independent clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
  • Experience in Same Day Access, intake, or triage settings
  • Familiarity with ASAM criteria and substance use assessments
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including co-occurring disorders
  • Knowledge of Virginia DBHDS and Medicaid (DMAS) requirements
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other language)
  • Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and community partners
