Job Overview:

 Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Secretary assists in the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities in the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area.

 

Qualifications:

 Required:

•  High school diploma 


• Knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel and the ability to multitask successfully


• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and demonstrated writing skills

Preferred:

•  College degree 

 

 Scheduling Requirements

 Shift: Day

• Time: 8:00am - 4:00pm


• Status: Full Time


• Hours: 37.5hrs

 

Essential Functions:

•  Assists in calling in staff for shifts when staffing is short


• Attends monthly System Review Committee meetings and prepares the minutes for distribution to the Committee


• Completes and maintains all vehicle repair documentation; assists with actual vehicle maintenance as needed


• Maintains and coordinates the Director's calendar


• Maintains staff department files and credentialing materials


• Maintains the department's Policy & Procedure and Quality Assurance manuals and updates as appropriate.


• Prepares all department correspondence as appropriate,

• Prepares all necessary documentation relating to staff employment as appropriate


• Prepares the annual DMHS budget for PESS and ensures that all contract modification forms are typed and forwarded to the Division.


• Performs all other duties as assigned
