Do More Than a Job—Change a Life

At Homme Youth and Family Programs, we provide trauma‑informed care and treatment for children and adolescents experiencing severe trauma, behavioral challenges, and delinquency. Our mission: help young people recover, grow, and thrive independently.

We’re looking for compassionate, patient, emotionally strong individuals who want to make a real difference. If you believe in structure, boundaries, empathy, and seeing the world through a child’s perspective—you belong here.

Youth Counselor – What You’ll Do

As a Youth Counselor, you’ll work directly with residents (primarily males ages 10–15), helping create a safe, therapeutic and structured environment. You’ll be a role model, support system, advocate, and trusted adult who helps guide youth toward healing and positive change.

  • Document daily observations, behaviors, and incident reports
  • Transport youth to appointments, school, and activities
  • Assist or supervise during meals
  • Update parents, social workers, therapists, and other professionals
  • Respond appropriately during crisis situations, including verbal/physical aggression
