Job Description

On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Schedule: On-Call / PRN (7 days on / 7 days off structure)

Pay: $125/day while on-call; $55.00 per hour when called in

What does a day in the life look like?

  • Respond to after-hours calls and provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in homes or care settings

  • Perform symptom management, assessments, and interventions to ensure patient comfort

  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality end-of-life care

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation


What should I have to be considered?

  • Active RN license in the state of Nebraska (or compact state)

  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience

  • At least two (2) years of hospice or home health experience

  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently

  • Compassionate communicator with a patient-centered approach

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
