Job Description

We are currently recruiting an energetic, results-focused post-secondary student to join our team this summer! This position offers an opportunity to gain experience and to learn more about our AR team, the Company, and the industry.

As an Accounts Receivable Student, you will be responsible for payment application, and processing cheques received from our customers.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Processing incoming payments, accurately applying to the correct account and invoice.
  • Making notes on any short and over payments for the Credit Dept to review.
  • Preparing daily bank deposit.

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (degree, diploma, or certificate) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Detail oriented with a passion for working with numbers and data entry.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands.
  • Ability to work independently and work effectively as a team player.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented, high volume, and fast-paced environment.
  • PC skills - Windows, MS Office Suite, Excel, Great Plains accounting software.

This position is a temporary student term running from mid‑June to the end of August. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.
