Position Summary

The Inside Sales - Retail Sales Account Manager is responsible for building and managing relationships with independent and small-chain retail stores across a designated territory. This remote position focuses on nurturing customer accounts, increasing product sales, and supporting the growth of Azure’s presence in retail locations nationwide. The ideal candidate excels in communication, thrives in a mission-driven environment, and can drive results through proactive outreach and consultative selling.


Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management
     
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retail accounts, supporting customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
    • Monitor account activity, sales trends, and purchasing patterns to drive growth and retention.
    • Provide ordering support for assigned retail accounts.
       
  • Sales & Growth
     
    • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
    • Reach out to leads and prospects in your territory to convert them into loyal retail customers.
    • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals through effective relationship management and value-driven selling.
       
  • Customer Support & Merchandising Guidance
     
    • Provide product education, promotional support, and merchandising guidance tailored to each account.
    • Assist customers with navigating Azure’s product catalog, ordering system, and promotional resources.
       
  • CRM & Reporting
     
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records in the CRM (HubSpot), including call notes, sales activities, and account status.
    • Provide regular updates on account performance, wins/losses, and competitive insights to the sales leadership team.
       
  • Collaboration & Culture
     
    • Participate in virtual team meetings and occasional in-person sales meetings or trade shows (limited travel required).
    • Represent Azure Standard’s mission and values in all communications with customers and internal teams.
    • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of inside sales or account management experience, ideally in retail, natural/organic grocery, or CPG industries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization, time management, and follow-through.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and remote collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Zoom).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about providing excellent customer service. 

Preferred Attributes

  • Knowledge of natural/organic food and lifestyle products.
  • Experience working with independent retailers.
  • Strong alignment with Azure Standard’s mission and values.

 

POSITION DETAILS & SCHEDULE 

  • Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
  • Probationary Period: 90 days  

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a high-speed, stable internet connection with a router capable of a wired (plug-in) connection.
  • Must have a dedicated, distraction-free workspace suitable for focused, professional work.
  • Caregiving during work hours is not permitted.
  • Must work on company-provided equipment, which includes:
    • Computer
    • Two monitors
    • Keyboard and mouse
    • Headset  

TIME OFF & HOLIDAYS
