Job Description:

Key
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and
    maintain the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Plan.

  • Ensure all construction
    activities comply with project specifications, contract documents, and
    federal standards.

  • Coordinate quality control
    inspections, testing, and documentation.

  • Conduct preparatory, initial,
    and follow-up inspections for definable features of work.

  • Maintain quality control
    documentation including daily QC reports and inspection records.

  • Coordinate with project
    managers, engineers, inspectors, and contractors to resolve quality
    issues.

 

Design
and Technical Oversight:

  • Review construction drawings,
    specifications, and technical submittals for compliance.

  • Verify materials, installation
    methods, and workmanship meet contract requirements.

  • Ensure proper review and
    approval of contractor submittals prior to construction.

  • Identify technical issues and
    coordinate resolution with project leadership.

 

Construction
and Quality Assurance

  • Oversee inspection and testing
    activities for civil works construction including earthwork, concrete,
    structural systems, and utilities.

  • Monitor contractor quality
    control operations and verify compliance with the approved CQC plan.

  • Review laboratory testing
    reports, inspection documentation, and construction quality records.

  • Track deficiencies and ensure
    corrective actions are implemented.

 

Project
and Field Support

  • Serve as the primary point of
    contact for quality control matters on assigned projects.

  • Participate in project
    meetings, technical discussions, and construction coordination meetings.

  • Support project documentation,
    reporting, and compliance monitoring.

  • Coordinate with USACE Resident
    Offices and project stakeholders.

 

Minimum
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil
    Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
    preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of construction
    quality control or construction management experience.

  • Experience implementing quality
    control programs for infrastructure or construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of
    construction specifications, inspection procedures, and quality
    documentation.

  • Ability to work in field
    environments and travel to project sites throughout Florida.

 

Preferred
Qualifications

  • Experience supporting U.S. Army
    Corps of Engineers (USACE) construction projects.

  • Completion of USACE
    Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors training.

  • Professional Engineer (PE)
    license or related professional certification.

  • Experience with Resident
    Management System (RMS) or federal construction management systems.

  • Experience with civil works,
    flood control infrastructure, reservoirs, or military construction.
