Summary:
Prepares soups, meats, vegetables, salads, dressings, and desserts for consumption in school
cafeteria by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Provides lightly seasoned, nutritionally adequate, and varied diet for students.
• Inspects equipment for cleanliness and functional operation.
• Performs cooking duties with other workers.
• Cleans and sanitizes cookware and appliances.
• Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Required to obtain state certification in Child and Adult Nutrition Services
• Understands the Dakota Culture and is sensitive to working with Native American
children and families.
• Employee must be able to pass a background check as required by Public Law 101-630.c
• Must consent to and pass criminal background check
• Must consent to and pass initial and random drug screens
