An internship at Earth Systems is perfect for civil engineering students passionate about geotechnical or environmental engineering and eager to gain practical, real-world experience. Interns will work closely with professional engineers, receiving mentorship and guidance while participating in hands-on projects. The role offers opportunities to spend time outdoors and learn the essential skills needed to succeed as a geotechnical engineer.


Qualifications:

· Currently enrolled and plan to complete a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.


Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide support to project managers and engineering staff by performing various field and office functions.

· Conduct fieldwork for geotechnical site investigations.

· Learn and conduct field and laboratory soils and materials tests.

· Evaluate field and laboratory data.

· Perform calculations and analysis to assist in development of geotechnical design recommendations. 

· Carry out other miscellaneous field and laboratory geotechnical-related tasks.

The expected pay range for this position is $20-28. Exact rate is dependent on several factors such as experience, skills, education/certifications, and geographic location.


Employment conditioned upon the satisfactory completion of a post-offer background check, review of Motor Vehicle Records, drug screening, and a medical evaluation appropriate to the position.
