Job Description: Analyst/Associate – Business Unit Analyst –  FVA

(Based in Los Angeles – Corporate Headquarters)

Houlihan Lokey is seeking an experienced candidate who will have a national role supporting FVA (Financial and Valuation Advisory) and will work directly with the CAO (Chief Administrative Officer) of FVA, as well as senior members of the FVA practice. As a professional with experience in finance and operations in support of large complex organizations and/or financial services firms, responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Initiate and develop in-depth analysis related to revenue accrual/collection and expenses

  • Recommend and implement new analysis related to the FVA practice

  • Strengthen current monthly reporting and analysis for senior management

  • Assist with the development of weekly, monthly , and quarterly reports for senior management

  • Develop a partnership with IT and Accounting to create better reporting tools and capabilities

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and analysis, as well as monitor data enrichment practices

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data

  • Support additional CAO led initiatives surrounding broader team management and development

 

Qualifications

 

  • B.A./B.S. - finance, accounting or economics. MBA a plus, but not required

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Audit experience strongly preferred

  • Skill in fiscal management

  • Ability to professionally represent the FVA practice in internal meetings with the support groups (Primarily IT and Accounting)

  • Must have an ability to partner with others in a matrix organization while questioning status quo

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members

  • Exceptional work ethic

  • Travel Required (~ 10%)

  • Experience Required: 3-4 years of relevant experience
