Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinician Team Lead (PSR & Peer Support) 

Job Code: HCP053/Social Worker, Licensed Spv

Shift: Full-Time (40 hours per week on average)

Job Hours: 8am – 4pm - Times May Vary

Base Location: Southlake (Based on area of assignment)

Division/Department/Program: Adult Day Program (Clayton Center)

At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.

The Behavioral Health Team Leader is the working supervisor for a team of clinicians, med providers &/or paraprofessionals staff providing mental health &/or substance use disorders treatment services. Under supervision learns to perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.

 

Duties& Responsibilities:

  • Provides clinical supervision to subordinates; reviews care plans, treatment provided, and staff documentation for conformity to agency and payer requirements.
  • Appropriately interprets, implements, and enforces compliance with agency policies and procedures and safety regulations.
  • Provides day-to-day oversight and administrative leadership and support to subordinate staff.
  • Interviews, recommend hires, trains, and evaluate performance of staff. Schedules for staff coverage.
  • Manage a caseload of clients to include intakes/comprehensive assessments, treatment planning and provides educational and skill development group sessions as indicated on the service plan.
  • Completes documentation within 24 hours.
  • Requests authorization within required time frames.
  • Provides crisis intervention services to existing and walk-in clients as needed.
  • May serve as case manager to facilitate and ensure communication, linkage, and continuity of care between clients, physicians, other organizational components, community resources and service providers.
  • Assesses client’s need for emergency admission certification.
  • Executes the legal forms required to refer the client to an emergency receiving facility for evaluation of the need for involuntary commitment to a hospital or crisis intervention facility.
  • Arranges transfer of the client to the receiving facility.
  • May assist with applicant interviews and hiring process.
  • Trains and evaluates performance of staff.  Schedules for staff coverage. 
  • Other program related duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience at the lower level Social Worker, Licensed 3 (HCP052) or position equivalent; OR Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and licensure in the area of assignment and there (3) years of experience in the provision of therapeutic services with which includes one (1) year in a managerial or supervisory role.

 

Note: Some position may require licensure in the state of Georgia as an LCSW or LPC.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR
  • Previous experience working with SPMI, SUD and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner credential (CPRP)

 

 

Requirements/Competencies:

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
  • Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
  • Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.

 

Note: Position may require a valid driver’s license.
