Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for working in a team environment with materials, manufacturing, product design, technical service and supplier representatives in guiding technical evaluations, analysis and related processes to ensure that quality objectives are achieved.

Pay Range: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated, and maintained properly

  • Track and coordinate quality issues reported by internal/external customers

  • Provides templates, assistance and support for documentation revisions and updates

  • Acts as liaison for documentation in the review/change process

  • Maintains historical data and documentation

  • Assists as needed with quality processes, audits, surveys, and other special projects

  • Preparing and managing correspondence, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and files

  • Support the various internal departments to determine formal cause and corrective action

  • Complete First Article Inspections

  • Be an active participative member of the Quality Star Point HPT and support the Zero Defects Program

  • Understands how business works and can acquire knowledge of current policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the organization quickly and effectively

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Certified Inspector/Operator
  • Ability to use a wide range of measuring devices (calipers, optical comparator, electronic equipment, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and exhibit a high-level of integrity
  • High-level of visual awareness
  • Experience drafting reports and collecting data
  • Extensive computer knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, customer portals, Enovia, Omnex, etc.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
  • Must be able to write procedures and revise existing procedures
  • Internal auditing experience is helpful
  • Involvement with customer audits and AS9100 quality system
  • Learn all jobs in area including lab, calibration, and receiving transactions
  • Work with customer returns in ATR system
  • Support Zero Defect Lighthouse project on production floor
  • Communicate with customers via email and in person visits
  • Ability to document PPAP supporting documents
  • Ability to conduct certified operator training classes
  • Actively participate and support the plant’s safety program. Report any injury or near miss immediately to your Group Lead or EHS Manager. Report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Group Lead, Value Stream Manager or EHS Manager.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Keep all walkways and aisle free of any debris or clutter. Maintain 5S standards by returning tools to shadow boards. Sweep floor and finishing area as needed.
  • Daily attendance is a requirement of the job, as is arriving on time. Overtime is expected when customer demand dictates the need.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pay Range:  $23.99/hr to $33.81/hr
