Job Description
Purpose of Position

Project Delivery - This position is responsible for identifying, defining, planning, coordinating, and executing requirements of information systems of various sizes and complexities.  Under general direction from a Project Manager, leads project scoping and business process reengineering on multiple projects concurrently. As a business

process and application expert, expected to troubleshoot existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary. Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution from which programs will be developed. Will periodically be responsible for leading and

managing  junior employees and is expected to operate in both a team and individual environment.

 

Standards - Expected to develop and maintain standards and processes applicable to the analysis and documentation required of the business analyst group. This would include contributing to development lifecycle process improvements as well as processes and documentation more specific to analysis activities.



Business Process Analysis - The BA, Lead  identifies the businesses strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement. Expected to understand and recommend modifications to business processes addressing complex business issues as the business and systems evolve. 



Coaching - Will mentor and coach junior employees. Required to review and provide feedback on junior employees' specifications, requirements and process flows.

 

Travel & Work Hours - Occasional travel (domestic or international) between operating companies may be required.  Occasional work during non standard hours may be required. 

Tasks and Responsibilities
  •  Process Management - Assists in defining project scope, project plans, and issue resolution with the management team. Guides the technology team and other business analysts regarding implementation and documentation of projects.  Provides leadership and management including delegation, mentoring, and coaching.  
  • Process Improvement - Measures the effectiveness and seeks to continually improve the quality of processes. Includes processes and standards to be implemented in the business analyst community. 
  • Strategist - Develop long-term strategies for improved operational processes and system functionality
  • Analyst - Performs and manages project scoping. Consistently demonstrate thorough understanding of high level business processes. Identify and present opportunities, alternatives and recommendations to business leadership. 
  • Relationship building - Acts as an ambassador and liaison for Technology Services.  Develops relationships with customers by being proactive, displaying a high level of knowledge of the business and by providing innovative business solutions.
