Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: Senior Director of Human Resources

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: New Jersey Region (travel throughout assigned market required)

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000

Position Summary:

Professional Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated, solutions-oriented Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support leaders and employees across the New Jersey region. This role serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, helping align people strategies with business goals while driving a positive employee experience. The HRBP will lead and support key initiatives across employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, engagement, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary HR partner for New Jersey leaders and employees, providing coaching, guidance, and solutions across employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.

Build strong relationships with regional leaders and clinic teams to understand business needs, support operations, and maintain a visible HR presence.

Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring leaders on workforce planning, recruiting strategy, job descriptions, employer branding, and regional hiring initiatives including career fairs and community outreach.

Lead onboarding, orientation, and training efforts that create a strong new hire and employee development experience.

Support performance management, employee development, succession planning, and talent review processes across the region.

Review and update job descriptions; partner with HR leadership on compensation and classification matters.

Analyze HR metrics, employee feedback, and exit interview trends to identify opportunities and support data-driven decision-making.

Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and people practices while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Participate in HR initiatives and cross-functional projects that enhance the employee experience and business operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required.

Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, and employment law.

Working knowledge of New Jersey employment laws and HR practices strongly preferred.

Proven ability to influence, coach, and build trust with leaders at all levels.

Strong communication, judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.

High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to collaboration and service excellence.
