Job Description

Job title: Water Cooler Refurb Operative

Contract Type: Full Time Permanent - subject to 6 month probation

Location: Mitchelstown Co. Cork

Salary: €30,000 per annum, paid monthly

We are looking for a Refurb Operative to join our team, working on testing, repairing and refurbishment of returned products in line with the business needs. To ensure that work is carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner to the required quality standard as well as assisting with the identification of any failure trends by means of fault finding and logging findings.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assess returned products to determine refurbishment opportunities.
  • Carry out electrical and visual safety checks prior to testing (PAT testing).
  • Test all suitable products, retaining reusable components from those deemed beyond economical repair (BER).
  • Diagnose faults and perform required repairs prior to testing.
  • Replace external panels and components in line with company procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize products using approved chemicals, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Descale products as required.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure products meet required quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work carried out
  • Support stock control and liaise with the team leader on re-ordering needs.
  • Safeguard stock and ensure secure handling of all components
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations and WHA technical/manual standards.
  • Complete administrative tasks using the company’s systems
  • Provide training support to colleagues on correct procedures where required.
  • Document all warranty and returns work in line with current processes.
  • Undertake any additional reasonable tasks as requested by your line manager.
