We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join us on our journey to transform our community and drive lasting change. 
 

The Community Engagement Coordinator will support the Executive Director of the New Growth Horizon Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Proper Brands. This part-time opportunity offers hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, cause marketing, and corporate social responsibility, with a focus on social equity, health, and wellness. Our Community Engagement Coordinator will work out of our office in Rock Hill, MO and be paid anywhere between $20-$22/hour.

 

Summary: 

The Community Engagement Coordinator owns the operational execution of Proper’s community engagement strategy, including NGH Foundation initiatives, charitable giving, and employee engagement. This role builds and manages systems that ensure all requests, partnerships, and activities are tracked, prioritized, and executed with consistency and quality. It enables efficient decision-making through clear intake, structured reporting, and decision-ready outputs, while coordinating engagement efforts across the organization.

Responsibilities: 

  • Owning and maintaining centralized systems for funding requests, employee assistance, partners, and engagement activity;
  • Ensuring all records are accurate, current, and organized; 
  • Providing administrative support for engagement and funding operations, including managing documentation, files, calendars, email coordination, and shared resources; 
  • Building and maintaining workflows to ensure consistency and prevent gaps; 
  • Managing the full lifecycle of charitable giving and assistance requests, including sponsorships, donations, events, and Emergency Employee Assistance Fund requests;
  • Ensuring all requests are submitted through a standardized process with complete and accurate information; 
  • Preparing clear, decision-ready summaries for the Executive Director to review; 
  • Tracking approvals, communications, and fund distribution; 
  • Maintaining accurate financial tracking of all giving and assistance funds, ensuring all distributions are properly documented and reconciled; 
  • Developing and maintaining reporting systems and dashboards to track request volume, timelines, funding allocation, and outcomes; 
  • Generating regular reports to provide leadership with clear visibility into activity and impact; 
  • Coordinating and supporting volunteer opportunities, community partnerships, and employee engagement initiatives; 
  • Managing logistics, scheduling, and participation tracking across engagement activities; 
  • Supporting execution of engagement initiatives across locations and employee-led programs; 
  • Tracking and reporting on participation, identifying trends and engagement gaps; 
  • Supporting communication and promotion of engagement initiatives across locations and employee-led programs;

  • Ensuring timely, clear, and consistent communication of opportunities, and events; 
  • Executing event logistics and supporting the delivery of campaigns and activations;

 

Qualifications: 

  • Must be 21 years of age or older; 
  • Must be able to obtain a Missouri Agent ID prior to start date and maintain throughout employment;
  • Must be able to pass a background check and MVR; 
  • High School Diploma or GED is required for all roles; 
  • 1-2 years of experience in administrative, operations, nonprofit coordination, or event coordination roles, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, track information accurately, and support high-volume requests or activities;
  • Preferred experience in corporate community engagement, corporate social responsibility (CSR), nonprofit operations, or similar environments; 
  • Preferred experience managing administrative workflows, tracking systems, or coordinating high-volume requests and activities; 

 

Work Environment: 

  • This role works primarily in a standard office environment. The workspace is climate-controlled and smoke-free. There will be minimal exposure to cannabis odors or plant material.
  • Travel is required 10-20% of the time for events. Miles driven will be reimbursed.
