Qualifications
- Current junior, senior or graduate student at an accredited college or university in a related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
- The City of Cape Coral Internship Program is designed to provide an opportunity for select students to gain hands-on experience, strengthen their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- This program is specifically structured to focus on the professional development of the intern and to better prepare them for future employment opportunities and a successful transition into the related field.
- This individual will assist with various projects and tasks, assist in the identification of issues/problems, researches and gathers data, analyzes alternatives, and implements plans.
- Communicates with professionals, City staff, and the public.
- Has general knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and related equipment or electronic devices.
- Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Current college student; major in Civil Engineering preferred; valid Florida Drivers License or other State Drivers License with the ability to obtain a Florida Drivers License within 30 days of hire required. Must have the ability to follow oral & written instruction. Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
