DNV’s CMC Service Line covers Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Baltic States, operating through two dynamic sections.
You’ll join our North-East Section, responsible for all maritime services across North-East Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia — a region where our surveyors play a key role in supporting shipyards, manufacturers and offshore players.
We’re expanding our presence in the Baltics and are looking for a Surveyor based in Tallinn. Expect a mix of local field work, customer interaction, and short business trips within Estonia and occasionally across the region.
What You’ll Do
- Certify and verify materials and components for ships and offshore units
- Perform surveys at manufacturers and client sites (class & nonclass)
- Follow up on periodical surveys—on-site and remote
- Support selected customers and collaborate with colleagues across the region
- Join cross-disciplinary verification projects
- Travel within Estonia and occasionally across the Baltics

Qualifications
Our requirements:
- We are looking for a surveyor with a master's/bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- The candidate needs preferably to cover several fields of competence and the following education background is applicable: technical education within materials, mechanical, welding, Non-Destructive Test (NDT) and quality control experience form overhaul workshop. Electro-automation knowledge will be additional advantage.
- Interest and willingness to build competence within the above-mentioned disciplines.
- Fluent Estonian language skill is a must.
- A good command of the English language is required.
- Russian language will be an advantage.
- Valid driver's license.
- Expected 3-5 years of experience in the industry. Experience in shipbuilding or the offshore and maritime industry will be an advantage.
