Job Description
We are in search of a Router/ Driver Check-In to join our growing team. This position is responsible for utilizing the P21 computer and Omnitracs software program to create the most optimal routes for truck deliveries.  Route BradyPLUS trucks in order to meet customer expectations while controlling labor, fuel and controlling miles and maintenance costs.  Responsible for the proper receiving and stocking of new merchandise and work with Night Lead to ensure all orders with special requirements are processed and putaway.
 
Responsibilities Include: 
Responsible for creating routes in Omnitracs and P21 to build out the daily routes for their dedicated location(s)
Working from the route schedule to ensure trucks go out at highest cube possible
Account for all orders which have special instructions or need for delivery and ensure they are routed accordingly.
Coordinate with the Warehouse or Operations Manager on route re-alignment and updates
Working with the drivers at the end of each day to reconcile mis-pulls, RMA’s, customer refusals, and other delivery areas
Owns the put away process for any items that came back on a route, via primary bin or designated return to stock area to ensure inventory accuracy.
Reconcile the delivery list and unconfirmed report at the beginning/end of each shift to ensure all delivery lists are closed out the same day/following morning.  
Validate customer-shipping information by maintaining the customer database within the P21 to include address information as well as receiving hours and any other special requests.
Develop and maintain an effective communication style with the driving staff in order to increase routing efficiency and customer-specific demands as it relates to transportation.
Additional duties or special projects as assigned.

 
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in distribution industry preferred, but open to entry level candidates.  
Omnitracs or similar routing software experience
Strong understanding of DOT compliance 
Basic understanding of Cube and weight truck optimization.  
High School Diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements: Ability to physically sit at a desk for long periods, operate a computer. Ability to independently lift up to 50 lbs.
