Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and relationship-driven Recruitment Manager to support and scale Marcy Lab’s recruitment pipeline, contributing to sustainable growth in applications and enrollments. This role will execute outreach and partnership initiatives that expand awareness of The Marcy Lab School and build strong, consistent pathways for prospective learners to engage with and apply to our programs. The Recruitment Manager will play a key role in developing and managing external recruitment channels—cultivating relationships with high schools, community-based organizations, workforce development programs, and other aligned partners. This role blends execution and strategic contribution, requiring someone who can build systems, foster strong relationships, and translate outreach efforts into measurable outcomes.

Description

Core Responsibilities


Partnership Development & Pipeline Building

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with high schools, community-based organizations, workforce programs, and aligned partners.
  • Support the development and maintenance of sustainable referral pathways
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, ensuring strong communication and alignment.
  • Develop and maintain a structured system to track partner engagement and outcomes.
  • Strengthen and deepen existing partnerships to improve engagement and applicant conversion.


Events & External Engagement

  • Represent the Marcy Lab School at college fairs, high school visits, workforce events, and community gatherings.
  • Plan and host internal and external recruitment events (info sessions, open houses, partner briefings).
  • Support yield-focused engagement efforts to convert applicants into enrolled students.


Recruitment Strategy & Execution

  • Execute and continuously improve targeted recruitment strategies across key audiences and communities.
  • Partner with the Senior Director to inform and refine recruitment strategy based on on-the-ground insights and data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Admissions, Marketing, and Student Success to align outreach efforts with enrollment priorities.
  • Monitor recruitment funnel metrics and adjust strategy to improve application and enrollment conversion.
  • Contribute to enrollment forecasting and growth planning.


Communication & Messaging

  • Deliver compelling presentations and messaging that clearly articulate The Marcy Lab School’s value proposition.
  • Ensure brand consistency across partner and recruitment communications.
  • Gather insights from partners and prospective students to refine outreach strategies.


Qualifications


Required

  • 3+ years of experience in recruitment, admissions, partnership development, outreach, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success building and managing external partnerships.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while driving toward measurable goals.
  • Data-informed and results-oriented mindset.


Preferred

  • Experience in education, workforce development, nonprofit, or youth-serving organizations.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and recruitment tracking tools.
  • Experience planning and executing recruitment events.
  • Passion for expanding access to opportunity and advancing educational equity.

  • Demonstrates ownership of day-to-day pipeline health, partner engagement, and event execution.


Execution & Representation

  • Represents the Marcy Lab School professionally and effectively at events and partner engagements.
  • Successfully plans and executes recruitment events that drive engagement and prospective student interest.
  • Demonstrates strong follow-up practices that support application movement and enrollment efforts.


Team Contribution & Growth

  • Acts as a strong execution partner to the Senior Director, helping operationalize recruitment strategy and drive consistent results.
  • Uses data and feedback to refine outreach efforts over time.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve systems, expand partnerships, and strengthen recruitment outcomes.


Compensation & Benefits


The starting salary for this role is $88,516.


The Marcy Lab School uses a formal, organization‑wide job level structure with salary bands. All new hires start at the Year One salary for the band associated with the role, and salaries increase over time according to our framework. To promote equity and consistency, we do not negotiate salaries; we post the exact salary for each role and apply it uniformly to all candidates.

Hybrid; Brooklyn, NY

This hybrid role requires you to be based in NYC and work from our Brooklyn, NY, campus in Industry City. A significant portion of this role will require your presence at our Industry City campus or in the field at events, so it is essential to have the flexibility to travel when necessary.
