Pay Range: (Commensurate with experience)

Behavioral Health Practitioner: Starts at $22.29

Behavioral Health Practitioner + Bachelor’s Degree or Higher: Starts at $24.69

 

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30a – 3:30p with shared after hours/weekend coverage (on-call rotation)

 

Central Minnesota Mental Health Center (CMMHC) has a rewarding opportunity to serve as a Behavioral Health Practitioner: Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist with our St. Cloud Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. The Behavioral Health Practitioner Co-Occurring Disorder Specialists an active member of an evidenced-based clinical team, providing medically necessary treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI).  The Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist provides Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment to ACT clients who have a substance use problem.

 

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Implement services in the treatment plan for each client under clinical supervision.
  • Complete assessments and maintain client documentation.
  • Coordinate services with other programs and providers.
  • Complete ongoing comprehensive substance use assessments which consider the relationship between substance use and mental health.
  • Asses and track clients’ stages of change readiness and stages of treatment.
  • Utilizes outreach and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Implement cognitive behavioral approaches and relapse prevention.
  • Apply treatment approaches consistent with clients’ stage of change readiness.

Requirements

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Meet qualifications of a Behavioral Health Practitioner as defined in Minnesota Statute 245i.462 subdivision 17
  • Has received specific training on co-occurring disorders, consistent with national evidence-based practices.
  • Clear DHS background study.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

 

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team experience
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in Minnesota.
