We are seeking a Knowledge Management Lawyer in our market-leading Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) and Private Equity practice group in Paris to support the delivery of a broad portfolio of knowledge resources. The role will be located in our Paris office and may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring current legal, regulatory, and market developments, and keeping attorneys and clients abreast of these developments through emails, bulletins, training or other appropriate means
- Drafting and maintaining standard forms, templates, guidance notes and other knowledge resources to help our attorneys to work at the highest level
- Identifying, collecting, and organizing precedent and other knowledge materials for the Practice in the relevant knowledge management database
- Supporting the practice’s internal training programs for the benefit of associates and trainees
- Developing and maintaining a collection of key terms from prior M&A and Private Equity transactions and analysing such terms for trends and market developments
- Generally acting as a sounding board for ad hoc legal and technical legal queries from attorneys
- Assisting the firm’s efforts to facilitate the adoption and uptake of AI tools and other innovative technology within the M&A and Private Equity practice
- Interacting and collaborating with the firm’s other KM Lawyers and with the Innovation, Business Development, Brand & Communications, Research & Library, and other departments on a knowledgeable and professional level
- Participating in external forums with members of the wider legal community and external service providers in order to keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Are an attorney (“avocat(e)”) qualified in France
- Are highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
- Are a self-starter willing to take the initiative and able to perform responsibilities without close supervision
And have:
- A Master’s degree (M2) in Law (or equivalent)
- A minimum of five (5) years’ post-qualification experience as a practising attorney in M&A and Private Equity in a leading international law firm
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
- The ability to work independently on and deliver projects of significant complexity on a timely basis
