Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues
- Support and/or conduct investigations into employee complaints (e.g., harassment, misconduct, policy violations)
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on company policies and procedures
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Process employee status changes (hires, terminations, promotions, transfers)
- Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Answering employees' questions regarding their benefits and compensation options and assisting with the administration of their benefits.
- Support payroll coordination as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Assist in developing, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR role (e.g., HR Assistant or Coordinator).
- HRIS systems, including UKG Pro (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong prioritizing, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office experience and proficiency
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to use tact, diplomacy, patience, and be approachable
- Ability to stay calm in difficult and stressful situations
- Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to package and present information in an effective and efficient manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Able to gain the trust and confidence of the leadership while maintaining the necessary control and transparency around the results

Physical Requirements
Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
