Job Duties and Responsibilities
- You will perform the nightly audit of all hotel transactions using our Hotel Management Software (Opera or similar).
- You will accurately enter data, reconciling all accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- You will prepare and review daily financial reports, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- You will handle cash and other financial transactions securely and responsibly, following all established procedures.
- You will maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
- You will effectively solve problems that may arise during the night audit process.
- You will provide excellent customer service to guests and colleagues as needed.
- You will maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework in accounting or a related field is a plus.
Experience
- Prior experience in a night audit role or similar position in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Experience with Hotel Management Software (Opera or similar) is highly desirable.
Knowledge/Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
