Requirements:
- Ability to follow and communicate lesson plans left by the permanent teacher
- Ability to create a climate of respect and fairness for all students
- Ability to establish and maintain appropriate classroom behavior/management
- Willingness to be on call to cover absences of the regular teaching staff
- Willingness to commit to working a minimum of three (3) days per semester
- Implement curriculum and instruction in a way consistent with the District's mission statement
- Show empathy for and understanding of students
- Ability to make connections with students through words and actions
- Ability to create and support a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment
- Follow guidance and policies established by the Board of Education
Education and Experience: Applicants must have a high school diploma and a valid Missouri Teacher Certificate, Missouri Substitute Certificate, or 60 hours of college credit from an approved college or university. A Missouri Content Substitute Certificate may also be granted after the completion of the Frontline Education training program or a comparable training program offered by a MO DESE approved training provider.
Salary - Depends on level of certification and duration of assignment
