Job Description

The Corporate Engineer Intern will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to assist with key projects focused on database cleanup and reorganization. This is an entry-level position ideal for a junior or senior college student pursuing an engineering degree. The role is based in our corporate office and provides a solid foundation for future career development in process engineering and manufacturing.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the cleanup and reorganization of process engineering databases, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing data and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Participate in meetings and workshops to understand the operations of a carbon black manufacturing plant.
  • Provide general support to the process engineering team on various tactical tasks and projects.

Required Education and Experience

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Junior or senior standing in college with a strong academic record.
  • Basic understanding of process engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
