    Summer School PTeach Interns 2026
    The Summer School PTeach Intern works alongside a mentor teacher to support instruction, student engagement, and daily class operations. This role is designed for students interested in education, providing hands-on experience in lesson delivery, classroom management, and working with diverse learners in an active summer camp setting.
     

    Location: Weld Central High School, Keenesburg, CO

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist the mentor teacher in preparing and organizing instructional materials and activities
    • Support small groups or individual students during lessons and activities
    • Help facilitate games, projects, and enrichment activities
    • Model positive behavior and actively engage with students
    • Assist with classroom management and transitions between activities
    • Provide basic feedback to students to support learning and participation
    • Help maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive environment
    • Complete assigned reflections or check-ins as part of the internship experience
       

    Qualifications:

    • Current high school student or 2026 graduate (preferred grades 11�12)
    • Completion of one or more of the PTeach pathway courses.
    • Interest in education, working with children, or leadership roles
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Reliable, responsible, and willing to take initiative
    • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and adults

    Schedule:

    • Session dates May 26-29 AND/OR June 2-5, 2026
    • Tuesday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
    • Up to two additonal hours per week for planning and preperation time

    Compensation:

    • $17.50 per hour

    This position is open to current Weld Central High School students only.
