BC Concrete is seeking a Small Engine Technician for our Fort Collins location. Store hours are M-F, 7am-5pm. $25-$32.50/hour plus quarterly bonus based on department net profit

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical service to small engines.
  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
  • Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Maintain your assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
  • Adhere to manufacturer�s policy and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.
  • Assist with basic warehouse support including order pulling, stocking, shipping, and receiving during periods of lower service volume.
  • Provide occasional front counter support by assisting customers, processing parts orders, and helping maintain a clean, organized sales area.

    Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management of the company.

Qualifications

  • Two years experience as a small engine mechanic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Be self-motivated and conduct oneself in a professional manner.
  • Must have own inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs.
  • Two year technical degree may be used in lieu of 2 years of verifiable technical employment.
  • Customer service, parts, or warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and support multiple departments.
  • Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Physical Requirements

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
  • Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
