DELIVERING SOLUTIONS IS WHAT WE DO. It’s our heritage and our future. Because we don’t just engineer. We build innovative solutions that drive progress, ensure safety, and shape the world around us.

MECO Engineering is at its best when every member of our team feels respected, included, and empowered—when everyone can show up as themselves and do their best work every day. We are a multi-disciplined firm specializing in civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering, as well as land surveying services. Since 1985, we have been assisting rural communities and water districts in meeting their public works needs. Our team-based problem-solving approach, combined with decades of experience, allows us to deliver uniquely creative solutions to today’s complex regulatory and funding challenges. Our projects, spanning from wastewater systems to transportation infrastructure, are a testament to our dedication to quality and innovation.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Civil Project Manager with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead and manage complex civil engineering projects within the Water/Wastewater, Land Development, or Municipal Services sectors. This is a strategic role for a well-rounded engineer who thrives in a leadership position, has a strong technical background, and excels in client and team management. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of civil engineering experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple civil engineering projects simultaneously, from planning and design to permitting and construction oversight.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and public agencies, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.

  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and scopes to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including junior engineers, CAD designers, subconsultants, and construction personnel.

  • Review and approve engineering plans, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation.

  • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and pursuit strategy.

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide mentorship and professional development to junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.

  • Monitor and manage project risks, conflicts, and resource allocation.
