Job Description

Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:

 

Develop reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Produce business intelligence (BI) information by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. Design and build BI solutions that improve Microsoft products. Analyze data using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques. Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders. Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and manage BI and reporting projects. Articulate project goals and scope, translate business needs into technical terms, set milestones and prepare detailed work summaries and structures. Document and share best practices for BI and reporting end to end processes. Facilitate foundational operations that support the core infrastructure of Microsoft's online services or cloud technologies. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.
 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

 

Experience: Must have 36 months of experience in a related occupation.

 

Must have 36 months of experience in each of the following: Database management tools; Analytic multi-dimensional modeling; T-SQL and C#; Data migration tools; Excel Pivots, Power BI, and SSRS; and Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.

The offered base pay range for this specific position (ODP10025273345736), in Redmond, WA, is $141,000.00 - $171,000.00 per year.

 

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depend on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional reward, including merits increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employer’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
