Position Summary: The Planner develops and maintains accurate demand forecasts and supply planning with vendors using historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities. This role requires monitoring inventory levels across all sales channels to ensure alignment with demand forecasts, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet customer needs while minimizing excess inventory costs. Collaboration with sales, marketing, production, and supply chain teams is essential to align forecasts with business plans and address demand-related issues. Additionally, the role involves working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolving supply chain issues, as well as participating in supply chain optimization projects and product launches.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities. Including supporting new product launches and legacy items.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, production and logistics teams to align forecasts with business goals.
  • Analyze sales patterns and external factors to anticipate changes in demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels across all sales channels to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory costs.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and key performance metrics to provide regular updates on demand trends, inventory status, and supply chain risks.
  • Manage category-level ordering, including purchase order placement, status tracking, and supplier communication to ensure accurate, on-time delivery. Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to support smooth inbound operations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in forecasting, inventory management, and ordering.
