About the Role
We are looking for experienced individuals with a track record of success to join Turn/River’s growing investment team. As an investor, we provide strategic operational support to our portfolio investments. Several of our team members come from operational backgrounds where individuals focus on various aspects of digital marketing, sales, and account management. In this role, you will facilitate investment transactions that maximize the impact of this capacity in collaboration with the broader investment team. Successful candidates will have a creative, analytical mind and possess an aptitude to understand software businesses across verticals. He or she will navigate investment activities and conversation with executives to secure key deals for the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Find and connect with interesting companies, and their CEOs, that fit within our target profile
Build financial models, research industry dynamics, and write investment memorandums for potential investment opportunities
Analyze companies during the due diligence process by developing a deep understanding of their customers, sales process, lead generation, churn, product positioning, competition, team and market
Assist the senior partner in managing the deal making process, including working with lawyers, accountants, and consultants
Join the board meetings of portfolio companies and work with them post-transaction to improve operational efficiencies and sales & marketing workflows
Qualifications
Undergrad degree from a top-tier institution with top grades
1-3 years of investment banking experience (ideally within Software / Technology group) or growth/private equity experience
Experience working with SaaS, software, or subscription business
Excel in building strong relationships
Data-driven, intellectually curious, and numerically inclined
Strong project management, organizational skills, and process management
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with extreme attention to detail

Compensation
The annual base salary range for this role is $280,000 - $290,000, taking into account numerous variable factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational requirements.
