OPEN POSITION:                     ASSISTANT CUSTODIAL SUPERVISOR - NIGHTS


 


START DATE:                            ASAP


 


SALARY:                                   STARTING AT $23.93 HR


 


 


JOB SUMMARY


This position requires an individual to assist the Custodial Supervisor in the daily supervision of skilled and semi-skilled workers who are involved in custodial services of the district’s buildings.  Will assist in additional supervisory tasks related to the functions of the Custodial department.



  • This is a 2nd shift position, with a work calendar of 245 days


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties as assigned)



  • Supervises and evaluates the workflow provided by custodial services.

  • Oversees inspection process of all District facilities and confers with building administrators and regarding custodial work execution and issues of quality assurance.

  • Develops and administers custodial schedule of work and area assignments.

  • Recruits, screens and makes recommendations for the hiring and placement of custodial staff.

  • Helps to develop and maintain safety program for custodial personnel.

  • Monitors custodial operations for more efficient and effective use of personnel and management activities.

  • Coordination of paint schedule

  • Facilitate furniture orders

  • Manage keys, key card access, and door cores.

  • May occasionally perform the duties of subordinates in backup situations.

  • Evaluates and recommends purchase of custodial supplies, equipment and materials.

  • On-call response to emergency needs during evening and weekend hours outside of the normal workweek.

  • Maintains adherence to District policies/procedures, department requirements, safety standards and custodial cleaning practices.

  • Trains custodial staff in proper cleaning procedures.

  • Handles personnel issues of Custodial staff.

  • Assures that machinery, equipment, vehicles and facilities are properly maintained for efficient operations.

  • Maintains good employee relations.

  • Maintains regular attendance.

  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
